Thanks and Musings

Yesterday, we received a lovely surprise from Mother Moon's Message--this pretty little award!

Isn't it cute?  One thing I love about these awards is that they come with strings.  They force you to look at yourself and others with a discerning eye and follow some rules to boot.  (The Good Green Goddess knows I need a little more structure in my life.)  The rules of this award are as follows:

  • Thank the one who sent it your way
  • Sum up your blogging motivation, philosophy, and experience using 5 words
  • Pass it on to 5 others who blogs who you feel have real substance.
Soooooo...thank you, MMM.  I love learning from you, sharing your family adventures, and soaking up the sense of peace at your blog.  You rock.

Next...whew.  This one is hard for me.  I'd say my bloggingness could be summed up this way:  scattered, laughter-inducing, deep, hopeful, strong.  Which is to say that I (NotHannah) might have some sort of multipersonality blogging disorder.  I think I'm going to chalk it up to being a Gemini (that's where the hope comes in.)

Finally, the other blogs I feel have real substance--and this is NOT to say that there aren't other blogs that don't make me laugh or think or get mad or whatever.  This is to say that these are the blogs that caught me TODAY when I was thinking about it:

Adventures of the Striped Stockings~Celia is just so PRESENT in her life and so open about sharing it.  I love her stream of consciousness approach--and that she loves Practical Magic.

The Unwrapping~Sarah probably thinks I'm stalking her, because I pretty much gush over everything she writes.  But, honestly, she is a FANTASTIC writer, with the power to move people with her words.  Her thought processes are so...cool.

Mything Links~Okay, technically, this isn't a blog.  But it is seriously one of my favorite sites ever.  It is a TREASURE TROVE of mythology, religious practices, magickal histories...it's just beautiful. I could spend hours digging through it.

Dancing Beneath the Moon~I just discovered this blog today, actually, and I really dig not only the prettiness of it, but also the learning that can be done on it.

Okay, I'm breaking the rules here.  The truth is that there are so, so many blogs that I read and enjoy and that make me think. And I've just been reading over some of our followers' blogs and am so impressed and thankful for these folks that...I can't go on.  Four is going to be it today.  Just know that I love your comments and thoughts and words and ideas and I am SO THANKFUL for this community of supportive women ready to take over the world.

What?

Heh.  I kid.  BUT I am excited to say that Angie secured our domain and is working with me right now to get stuff all squared away for the new site.  I have some BIG ambitions for Divining Women and I'm sure my sweet SS is thinking, "This girl is nutso."  Some ideas are:  a separate page for Meet Us At the Water stuff--I'd LOVE to be able to have everybody's experiences "down on paper" in one place.  A forum where we can discuss various posts and topics.  More articulation between topics and segments.

Of course, one thing that I DON'T want to have happen is for us to lose the sense of community and thought and learning that we've found here.  It's important to me, ya know?

Anywho, blessings to you all.  Hope your days are going well
